▒ Tourist Information

☞ Elsen Tasarkhai
Although not as large as the Gobi Desert, this is a moderate-sized desert area.
You can enjoy activities like camel riding and walking on the desert sands.
Located 280 km from Ulaanbaatar, it's a popular tourist destination due to its proximity to the city.

☞ Terelj National Park
Terelj National Park is located about 50 km northeast of Ulaanbaatar, and along the road, it is about 70 km away.
It is one of Mongolia’s most popular recreational areas, frequently visited by both Mongolians and foreign tourists.
The park is surrounded by gentle mountains and forests, with a clear river flowing through it.
Within the park, you will find Ungot Mountain, known for its wildflower fields, Yol Mountain, which offers a panoramic view of the surroundings, Ariyabal Monastery, and many fascinating rock formations like Turtle Rock.

☞ Precautions when entering and leaving the country

▒ Liquids cannot exceed 100ml when entering Korea.

▒ The amount of alcohol that can be brought into Korea is one bottle per person and up to two cartons of cigarettes per person.

☞ Personal preparations

▒ Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, is located 1,300 meters above sea level. In summer, there is a cool breeze in the bright sunlight. However, since the daily temperature difference is large in the morning and evening of the year, it is recommended to prepare a windbreaker or a thin outerwear even in the middle of summer.
You can prepare winter jackets in May, thick autumn jackets in June, autumn hiking suits in July and August, slightly thick autumn jackets in September, fully winter jackets in October, and fully armed winter jackets from November to April.

▒ Liquor sales are legally prohibited on the first day of every month.

▒ It's good to prepare a personal simple side dish.

▒ Long pants and sneakers (climbing boots) are good for nomadic and horseback riding experiences during the schedule.

▒ Mongolia has strong sunlight, so it is good to prepare sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat with strings.

▒ When you look at the stars at night, if you have a thin mat on the ground, you can lie down and enjoy the stars. (Twinkle Twinkle)

▒ It is also good to prepare gloves (climbing gloves) for horseback riding.

▒ It is good to prepare toiletries (toothpaste, toothbrush, razor, etc.) that will be used simply during GER stay.

▒ It is very convenient to have a hiking wand when trekking.

▒ Local Temperature: Mongolia's climate is continental, with long winters and cold summers short and pleasant and warm.
Winter is considered to be from mid-October to April.
In the northwest of Mongolia, temperatures can drop to minus 40 to 50 degrees Celsius in the middle of winter.
